Braunwyn Windham-Burke Gives Updates on Her Dating Life and Family
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum confirmed she's dating someone new and living in NYC.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke has a new special someone in her life. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum confirmed this week that she's dating Jamie Parton. Braunwyn and her new girlfriend even went public at the Big Apple party for Dave Quinn’s book Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of the Real Housewives From the People That Lived It. She also addressed the new relationship in several interviews.
Braunwyn shared that she originally met Jamie through The Real Housewives of Dallas' D'Andra Simmons (Braunwyn and D'Andra were even spotted hanging out with one another at the party as well). “We [Jamie and me] actually met at an event D’Andra hosted two years ago,” she told Us Weekly. “We started messaging. And when I was out here [in NYC], we hooked up." According to the publication, Braunwyn and Fernanda Rocha split up in September.
E! News reports that Braunwyn and Jamie have also been leaving each other cute messages on Instagram. Braunwyn recently commented, "Thank you for making the world (especially mine) a little brighter," on Jamie's post for National Coming Out Day. Jamie responded, "Always."
But that's not the only big update in her life. Braunwyn is also living some of the time in NYC. As for her spending more time on the East Coast, she told Page Six, “I really do love dating in the city. O.C. is very small, so it’s nice to have the separation, so when I’m at home, I’m just with the family and when I’m here, I love the fact that I get to meet amazing people.”
She also offered an update on how co-parenting is going with Sean Burke. “We’re still living together, and we have no plans on changing that. We’re actually looking at a house with a guest house, so we’ll have a little separation but still, we want to raise our kids together. We don’t want to separate the family," Braunwyn added to the publication. “It [the co-parenting relationship] is actually really good. So when I’m here [NYC], he’s the primary parent, but when I go home, I am, and he can go do whatever he wants.”
When speaking to E! News, Braunwyn noted how supportive Sean has been of her move. "He thinks it's a good choice," she said. "He knows this has always been a dream of mine, and he kind of sees some of the things that are happening. He's like, 'I support you. The kids are going to be OK.' And I'll fly back and forth."
In fact. Braunwyn recently posted a sweet tribute to her longtime life partner and their "modern family."
"We got this. So many people don’t understand what Sean and I are trying to do here - but it’s really not that difficult when you think about it. We do not want a nasty divorce that splits our family apart. We’ve seen that too many times, whether personally or on TV shows - we want to rewrite the narrative, and are blessed to have the privilege to do so. We want to honor the love in our family and the beautiful lives we created - we’ve always done things our own way and this is no different. Our egos are not important in this. Our children are [rainbow emoji and hearty emoji]," she wrote on Instagram. "Here’s to keeping up old traditions, and making new ones."
Things have been busy for Braunwyn. She recently welcomed a pet dog into her family and has also been spending time with her mom, Dr. Deb, and her kids. "I finally understand how excited my mom and grandma would get when they’d have all their kids under the same roof!" Braunwyn wrote recently. "So happy to have my girls all home for our annual Halloween decorating (this is first time we’ve all been together in just under 4 [months]!) I’m so glad family traditions are still important to the older ones."
