Bethenny Frankel Knows Why Tinsley Mortimer Thinks She's Been Acting So Cold
The #RHONY newbie may have misinterpreted the Skinnygirl mogul's greetings.
Season 9 of The Real Housewives of New York City is in full swing, and it looks like new girl on the block Tinsley Mortimer is fitting right in with this group of gals. However, there's one Manhattanite who doesn't seem to have warmed up to Tinsley just yet, at least according to the newbie: Bethenny Frankel.
Tinsley noted that she thinks she's received a chilly reception from Bethenny on a couple of occasions this season. But Bethenny had an explanation for why she may have felt that way during Wednesday night's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show. "Here's what it is. This is my real life, this is a reality show. If I meet somebody at a party, I go, 'Hi, nice to meet you.' I don't go down on them," Bethenny joked.
The Skinnygirl mogul went on to say that Tinsley may have expected a little too much from the RHONY vet when she first joined the cast. "Everyone has this preconceived notion when they come on a show that's been on for 10 years, they're gonna come and like, 'Ooh, I'm gonna make Bethenny love me or hate me or I'm gonna fight with her,'" Bethenny said. "It's like, 'Hey, hi, how are you?' That's it. Basic. Nothing. We don't know each other."
Tinsley previously told The Daily Dish that she has learned that it takes a while for Bethenny to open up to new people. "She's super chic and skinny and I love all of her clothes that she wears," Tinsley said. "She values her friendships and she's not just gonna immediately be a friend of yours, unless you get to know her better and build a relationship with her. And so she kind of sometimes can be actually nice and sometimes a little cold. It sort of goes hot and cold a little bit."
This season, it seems like "hot and cold" could also apply to Tinsley's relationship with roomie Sonja Morgan. Relive their latest heated argument, below.
