Ben Robinson Already Has Some Feelings About Below Deck Med's New Chef Mila Kolomeitseva
The Below Deck Mediterranean alum watched the Season 4 premiere, and he didn't like what he saw.
A new season of Below Deck Mediterranean has begun, and that means a whole new crop of crew members to meet. And, well, new chef Mila Kolomeitseva certainly came in hot during the Season 4 premiere Monday night, didn't she?
Mila's start to the charter season didn't go exactly as she'd probably planned. The Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef came down with a case of food poisoning pretty much right after she boarded the Sirocco. And then, the first dinner she cooked for the charter guests didn't exactly look appetizing, at least according to her fellow crew members.
Well, well, well. Wouldn't you know it? Ben Robinson tuned into the Below Deck Med Season 4 premiere just like the rest of us, and you better believe he had something to say about the new chef.
For starters, he's not so sure she made the best first impression. "First she’s ill, now it’s tacos... This may not be a healthy start to the season," Ben tweeted during the episode.
He also wasn't a fan of her warming up steak in the microwave technique (clip above). All in all, Ben said he was "absolutely horrified" by what he saw go down in the galley.
Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi also had a reaction when asked about Mila's meal prep on Twitter.
This isn't the first time Ben, who appeared in Seasons 1 through 4 of Below Deck and in Season 1 of Below Deck Med, has weighed in on the other chefs in the series. He called Leon Walker "a bit of a one-trick pony" after he frequently served beef cheeks to the charter guests in Below Deck Season 3. Ben also challenged Below Deck Season 5 chef Adrian Martin to a cook-off.
The Daily Dish tasked Captain Lee Rosbach and Kate Chastain with the difficult decision to name who they think is the best Below Deck chef of all time last season. See what they had to say, below.
