Alli Dore Opens Up About Facing Sydney Zaruba at the "Emotional" Below Deck Sailing Yacht Reunion
"I think I cried for like an hour after," the Parsifal III stew said of filming the Season 2 sit-down.
We can't wait to see the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew come together for what is sure to be a jaw-dropping virtual reunion, which kicks off with Part 1 on Monday, June 21 at 9/8c, followed by Part 2 on Tuesday, June 22 at 9/8c.
As much as we're looking forward to seeing all of the Parsifal III yachties, we have to admit that we're especially eager to see how Alli Dore and Sydney Zaruba interact, given the fact that they were involved in a love triangle with Gary King. The above sneak peek teases that that will definitely be on the agenda for the reunion, leading to what looks like some tense moments for the yachties.
Alli also dished more on what we can expect from the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 reunion in a recent interview with E! News. "OK, put it this way, after we finished filming the reunion I was so emotionally jarred," she shared. "I think I cried for like an hour after. It was the overwhelm of the whole season. That was my first time seeing Sydney as well, and I felt quite emotional about that."
Not only was it difficult to deal with everything that went down during the charter season, but Alli also said that it was hard hearing some of the comments Sydney made about her while watching the show back. "The whole situation that was happening with Sydney and myself, I thought we were better friends than it seems like we were," she explained. "And I've definitely seen some things, some comments that have genuinely hurt my feelings."
Although Alli said that it all happened "so long ago," she admitted that she's still processing everything. "My feelings are hurt now, and I'm feeling it now," she said. "That's been the part that's been the most disappointing for me."
In her Instagram Stories earlier this week, Alli reflected more on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2, opening up about the challenges of having cameras around 24/7 as well as experiencing the loss of her grandfather while away on charter. She also said that her one regret from the season was the night she got upset at Gary for sitting in the hot tub with a topless Sydney.
"I do have one regret, that is losing my cool on last week's episode," Alli said, referencing the June 7 episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. "I let the behaviour of others upset me and I would rather walk away and hold my head high [than] let them see [me] sweat, but hey I'm still human!"
As for where Alli stands with Sydney today? "You will have to watch the final episode tomorrow and the reunion for the answer to that one!" Alli also teased in her Instagram Stories.
