Colin MacRae Clears Up the Timeline of His Relationship with Daisy Kelliher
Following the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 reunion, Colin took to social media to clear the air about some rumors.
Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht may have wrapped up with a tense two-part reunion, but the drama among crew members Colin MacRae, Daisy Kelliher, and Gary King is far from over.
On the final part of the reunion, Daisy and Colin spoke about the end of their romantic relationship. While Colin noted that it was difficult for him to reconcile the fact that Daisy had secretly hooked up with Gary before Season 4, Daisy said she found it hard to trust Colin because he had been sleeping with someone he’d worked with on a different boat, a woman named Britt.
More than a week after the reunion concluded, Colin took to social media to clear the air about the speculation that he’d been cheating on Daisy with Britt.
Colin MacRae’s Response to Rumors He Cheated on Daisy Kelliher
The chief engineer posted an Instagram video on July 27 to reflect on the Season 4 reunion and share his thoughts on his argument with Daisy.
“The thing that’s been hard to take is people calling me a cheater,” Colin said in his post. “I was casually seeing Britt, my videographer, and we called it off because we wanted to work together and make videos — so we thought it was best if we just don’t see each other. And then I went and did Below Deck [Sailing Yacht] completely single. But I told Britt I would probably end up hooking up with Daisy because we had already hooked up in the past. And that’s what happened.”
After filming wrapped and the crew left Parsifal III, Colin said he tried to make it work with the chief stew.
“And then for a few weeks after the show, all of my energy was devoted to Daisy, and it started to turn a little bit toxic, which I am 50% responsible for. There’s no argument there. But then I called it off, and then over a month later, I started to see Britt again,” he continued. “So there’s plenty of reasons to dislike me, trust me, but cheating probably isn’t one of them. I’ve never been a cheater, never will be.”
Colin went on to say he does “regret some of the things” he said to Daisy during their “public argument” at the reunion and “some of the ways that [he] said them.”
Daisy Kelliher’s Reaction to the BDSY Season 4 Drama
Colin wasn’t the only person who did some reflecting after filming Season 4. Daisy also looked back on the experience on her Instagram feed.
In the caption of a July 8 Instagram post, the chief stew admitted she “couldn’t be more excited to put this chapter behind” her.
Ahead of the finale, Daisy shared a series of behind-the-scenes images taken with the rest of the Parsifal III crew members.
“Not the easiest episodes for me to watch… the tears were real,” she wrote, along with a crying-laughing emoji. “But finally getting some closure after a couple of tough months…. Another epic send off to an epic season with an incredible crew.”
In another post after the finale, Daisy shared that she “stand[s] by everything last season.”
“These last few months have been rough but I wouldn’t change a thing. I laughed, I cried, made mistakes, made friends, I loved, lived and learned and had a blast every minute,” she concluded.
In the closing moments of the reunion, Daisy added that she was looking forward to moving “onwards and upwards” following her dramatic love triangle on Season 4.
