Here’s Why Camille Popped Up on Below Deck Again After Being Fired
Plus, Captain Sandy’s girlfriend, Leah, shared why she’s “Team Camille all the way.”
Camille Lamb may have been fired from the St. David crew, but her exit from Below Deck Season 10 didn’t last long.
On the January 30 episode, just a few days after Captain Sandy Yawn let her go, Camille returned to hang out with the St. David crew on their post-charter night out. In addition to meeting her deck-stew replacement, Tyler Walker, Camille got to reunite with her on-deck love, Ben Willoughby (who invited her).
While most of the crew members were actually excited to see Camille, a few felt some mixed emotions about her return.
Chief stew Fraser Olender said it was “nice” to see Camille, but he wasn’t sure if she would be “furious” at him for encouraging Captain Sandy to fire her. Second stew Alissa Humber, who repeatedly clashed with Camille prior to her firing, referred to her presence at dinner as “so awkward” and “embarrassing.”
“It just shows that she wasn’t regretful of anything that she did,” Alissa told stew Hayley De Sola Pinto.
After chatting with Ben about the status of their boatmance and telling Fraser that she held “no resentment” toward him, Camille left to get some rest before her flight the following day.
As a result, she didn’t actually stay with the crew when they returned to the yacht. Captain Sandy, who was the one to fire Camille, was the only cast member who didn’t see her.
However, Captain Lee Rosbach’s temporary replacement has spent time with Camille since filming on Season 10 wrapped.
On January 29, Captain Sandy and her girlfriend, Leah Shafer, shared on their respective Instagram pages that they hung out with Camille in Florida for a boat race.
In the caption of her post, Captain Sandy said she was “glad” Camille reached out to her about meeting up at the race, while Leah showed her support for the fired deck-stew in her post.
“I’m Team Camille all the way!” Leah wrote, while Captain Sandy commented that the three spent a “nice afternoon” together.
Though Camille initially said her firing was “debauchery,” it looks like she’s made amends with the captain who fired her — but the same can’t be said of her relationship with Alissa.
