After Captain Sandy Fired Camille Lamb, Here’s How She Reacted
On her way out, the Below Deck yachtie says several goodbyes — and some are nicer than others.
Camille Lamb is jumping ship in this sneak peek of Monday’s all-new episode of Below Deck.
The clip from the January 23 episode picks up with Captain Sandy Yawn firing the yachtie — a decision that she says was encouraged by all of the crew’s department heads — and almost immediately, Camille pushes back by responding, “I just feel like being let go is the last thing I want to do.”
“I’m very, very pissed off because I’ve done everything I can do to please these people,” she adds in a confessional. “And I don’t deserve to get fired. It’s bulls--t.”
Captain Sandy isn’t in the business of giving crew members “chance after chance after chance,” though. “The reality is, I have a charter to run,” she tells Camille. “I have to have a unison on this boat.”
Camille ultimately accepts the dismissal, but not without calling it “debauchery.” From there, she starts to say her goodbyes to the crew, but not all of her farewells are very friendly, as you can see in the clip above.
Chief stew Fraser Olender is one of the yachties to encounter Camille, and although he’s confident in his decision that she needs to leave the boat, he can’t help but feel guilty. “I never want to be a reason in life to break anyone’s spirit,” he tells the Below Deck cameras. “But you’ve got to do what’s better for the bigger picture and for the crew. And that’s what I did.”
Camille’s final words take on a different tone. “I tried to give a f--k and I’m done giving a f--k,” she says in a confessional. “I know the work I did and I’m proud of what I did. I’m walking off this yacht like, ‘Try me, motherf--ker. Camille, out.”
