Ashley Darby Shares Major Co-Parenting and Divorce Updates
The RHOP cast member opened up about what it was like to take a family trip with her ex.
Ashley Darby is in a period of change on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8.
In addition to moving on from her marriage to Michael, the RHOP O.G. has just
"settled into her new home with sons Dean and Dylan."
As Ashley adjusts to her new normal, she's trying to set a positive co-parenting precedent with her ex. On Season 8, Episode 2, which aired on November 12, Ashley opened up about taking a family trip to the Bahamas with her ex and their two sons. She also revealed where she stands in her divorce.
Ashley Darby Shares a Co-Parenting Update
While looking for plants for her party alongside her mom, Sheila Matthews, Ashley revealed why she wanted to take a trip with her ex.
"We did go to the Bahamas together; we had a great time," she said. "We're still navigating co-parenting, and it's going really well. I don't think either of us really wants to rock that boat."
Though the two were on vacation together, Ashley said that their dynamic has changed from lovers to something more platonic.
"Even in the Bahamas, even though we were there together, it was like we were two friends with our kids..." she continued. "It was the most respectful we've been to each other in a long time."
Later on in the episode, at her own housewarming party, Ashley told Gizelle Bryant and her Uncle Lump more about the trip.
"We can [get along], and we do really well," Ashley said, and Gizelle noted that she was all in favor of Ashley maintaining a healthy relationship with her ex. "We didn't have any arguments."
Ashley Darby Has an Update on Her Divorce
During a pilates workout with fellow castmates Gizelle, Karen Huger, and Mia Thornton, the Grand Dame wonders if Ashley's split has become legal.
"I am not divorced," Ashley tells the other ladies, much to their surprise. "I am technically married, but I live very much apart [from him]."
She also shared an update on her house, adding, "My name is the only name on the deed at this point."
