Ashlee Holmes Malleo Calls Mom Jacqueline Laurita's New Chapter out West "Incredibly Difficult" As She Stays Behind
The former RHONJ family may be on the move, but their bond is as tight as ever.
Now that Jacqueline Laurita has kissed New Jersey goodbye and moved her family out west, her eldest child, Ashlee Holmes Malleo, is opening up about how this new chapter will change her life and how hard it will be to be separated from her mom, with whom she has a close bond. She penned a sweet and emotional message about the move on Instagram, reflecting on her own journey to the Garden State as a kid. She also confirmed just where out west her mama, stepdad Chris Laurita, and half siblings, CJ, 17, and Nicholas, 10 will be living — and their new home will actually be familiar to Jacqueline and Ashlee.
"It was this month 18 years ago that I got into an RV with my mom and her fiancé (I would soon call him Dad) to embark on a new adventure —moving from Henderson, Nevada to Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. I was only 10 years old at the time," the former Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter shared. "Today, I watched my family get on an RV to move back across the country to Nevada. This time, I won’t be joining them on the adventure. Ending this chapter of my life has been incredibly difficult for me, but I could not be happier for my family and their new beginnings. I don’t know if I’ll ever end up back West. For now, my story is meant to continue here in New Jersey... but you bet your ass I’ll be visiting!"
This is not the first time that Ashlee has commented about her family's big move, as she previously shared how much she's going to miss them on social media, writing, "I’m gonna miss you guys! Excited for this new journey. Annnnddd it’s one more excuse to visit out west more often."
