Ariana Says Split from Tom Sandoval Doesn’t “Define” Her and Reveals an Update on BF Daniel
Vanderpump Rules cast member Ariana Madix shared how her latest endeavor is going and shared an update on her relationship with Daniel Wai.
Ariana Madix isn't letting her past — or more specifically, her breakup from Tom Sandoval and the drama the ensued as a result — "define" her.
Instead, the Vanderpump Rules cast member is focusing on the present. Read on to hear her explanation as well as get an update on her life, career, and current relationship.
What "Defines" Ariana Madix
After noting that her breakup "doesn't define" her" during a recent interview with Extra, Ariana ruminated on what does. "I feel like what defines me is my love and my relationship with my family and friends and my work ethic and my dedication and determination," she said.
Ariana's impressive work ethic is currently on display in her new role — and for anyone getting to know her that way instead of through past seasons of Vanderpump Rules or otherwise, she noted, "I just want people to know that I am a 360-degree, three-dimensional person and, yeah, I can be one way, but I can be other ways as well. You know, I feel like when we're goofing around and rehearsing, I might be, like, kind of silly and dorky, but, like, I'm gonna turn it on.”
Ariana Madix's Current Role
In addition to preparing for the opening of Something About Her and the release of her upcoming cocktail book, Ariana is currently hitting the dance floor as part of a current project.
Said project also involves The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Kyle Richards' husband, Mauricio Umansky. He and Ariana recently bonded over the experience after she took to Instagram with a selfie that was captioned, "[T]he only thing in my camera roll lately that isn’t dancing related..."
In the comments' section, Mauricio joked, "I’m suffering from the same symptoms lol."
Ariana responded, "[I]t has taken over," to The Agency founder. She added two crying laughing emojis to her comment as well.
Ariana Madix's Relationship with Boyfriend Daniel Wai
In the same interview with Extra, Ariana revealed that her boyfriend Daniel Wai and her friends have been extremely supportive of her new endeavor, which of course means a lot to her. As she put it, "I really like the support. I was actually worried a little bit that it would make me nervous… seeing them, but then ultimately seeing them and feeling that… I loved it."
Ariana and Daniel have been spending their fair share of time together away from the dance floor, too. She reshared a photo of them out to dinner on Oct. 4 on her Instagram Stories, which you can check out below.
As for the couple's future, Ariana recently explained on Scheana Shay's podcast that they're taking things one step at a time.
"I feel like I just want to keep going towards things that are positive, and so, I'm just going to keep doing what makes me happy and going in that direction, or at least trying to," Ariana said. "And he is someone who does bring a whole lot of happiness and really just calming and positive energy into my life, so I'm going to keep him around."
