Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay React to Each Other’s Huge Career Moves

Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay have been keeping busy this summer! The Vanderpump Rules cast members both made big announcements on August 18, and in addition to sharing their own news, the BFFs of course made sure to show their support for each other.

Ariana Madix’s Announcement: A New Cocktail Book
Following the 2019 release of Ariana and Tom Sandoval’s Fancy AF Cocktails, Ariana is now publishing her own mixology book, which she’s dubbed Single AF Cocktails. Ariana announced the news in an Instagram post with a lengthy caption, which began by acknowledging that these past few months “have been a whirlwind.” She added, “I’ll forever be grateful for those who continue to support me through all of it.”
The book is a love letter to her passion for bartending and creating cocktails. “Bartending will always be my thing,” she said, also explaining that in the book, which drops on December 5, “Each cocktail tells part of the story of what happened, in my own words.”
That’s not all the book is, though. Ariana added that it’s “also a thank you to all of you, my friends, and my family who rallied behind me and picked me up when my world fell down.”
“I know how lucky I am to have all of your support,” she wrote. “More than anything, I wrote this book because I heard from so many of you that you could put yourself in my shoes. I wanted to share my side of it to help anyone who has also gone through this heartbreak. You have all given me hope in my darkest times and my wish is that if any of you relate to this story at all, you’ll feel less alone.”
Best of all, according to Ariana, “the drinks are as good as the stories — you’ll love making them for your favorite people too.”
Scheana Shay’s Announcement: A New Song
Scheana, meanwhile, dropped a brand-new song called “Apples.” Speaking to Rolling Stone about the track — which is a collaboration with Kevin Franklin and Landis Daniels of The 27s — Scheana said, “I haven’t used music as an outlet to express my feelings in a really long time, so getting back into the studio and making this song with The 27s has been freeing and cathartic.”
Giving a shout-out to her and her husband Brock Davies’ daughter, Summer Moon, Scheana added that the song’s hook “is a great way to teach your toddler how to spell APPLES.”
Scheana also shared several posts about “Apples” on Instagram. One photo of her and The 27s is captioned, “Who wants an APPLE??” Another offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the tune.
How Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay Are Supporting Each Other
Upon the announcement of Ariana’s book, Scheana (and many of her Vanderpump Rules castmates!) commented on Ariana’s Instagram post and dubbed her “A TRUE QUEEN.”
Ariana also delivered a congratulatory message for Scheana, commenting one of her Instagram posts, “[A]s [S]ummer would say — how you like them applesssssss ... “[I]’m so excited for you!”
