We Have a Major Update on Charli Burnett and Scheana Shay’s Friendship
The SURver is “OK with where [they’re] at,” and she revealed the surprising cast member she’s become close to.
It looks like this Vanderpump Rules friendship is not “good as gold” anymore.
Though Scheana Shay and Charli Burnett were tight on Season 9 of the show (who can forget when Scheana’s now-husband, Brock Davies, hung the TV in Charli’s apartment), things have changed between the two since then.
At the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 premiere party in Los Angeles on February 7, Charli told Us Weekly that her friendship with Scheana was no longer in a strong place.
“I will say, things happen, friendships change, and unfortunately, we’re just not there anymore,” Charli explained. “But like I said, things happen, and I’m OK with where we’re at.”
Charli said that fans will have to tune in to Season 10 to find out why her friendship with Scheana soured, but she added, “I just want to be friends with people [who] I love and [who] are good to me.”
Her friendship with Scheana may not currently be in the best place, but Charli revealed that she’s become “really close” with another cast member: Katie Maloney.
“We just related to each other in a lot of ways,” she said. “I think that we had time to really get to know each other.”
As a result, she thinks Katie’s rule for her ex-husband, Tom Schwartz, to avoid hooking up with anyone in the friend group was “valid” — even if Charli is also still close friends with Raquel Leviss (who can be seen making out with Schwartz in the Season 10 trailer).
“I don’t think that rule is a rule that can’t be accomplished, but here we are,” Charli joked, before adding that she’s not taking sides, but she is “team girl’s girl.”
