This Is the First Thing Apollo Nida Did When He Left Prison
We know a bit more about The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks' ex-husband's life these days.
Thanks to Apollo Nida's fiancée, Sherien Almufti, we have an idea of what Apollo's priorities were when he wrapped up his prison sentence for fraud and identity theft earlier this month. She revealed on Instagram that his two kids with ex-wife Phaedra Parks, Ayden, 9, and Dylan, 6, were on his mind.
"When I picked you up, the FIRST thing you wanted to do, was call your children. What a beautiful thing to witness, they were sooo happy to hear from you," she wrote on a post honoring Apollo on Father's Day. The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans will recall Phaedra and Apollo wed in 2009, and she later announced plans to divorce him in 2014 when he began his prison sentence. They reportedly reached a divorce settlement in 2017. Sherien and Apollo became engaged since 2016 while he was still incarcerated.
It hasn't exactly been smooth sailing for Apollo since his prison release. After Apollo's prison sentence was reduced by one year, he was released from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey in early June and moved into a halfway house in Philadelphia where he was expected to stay until the middle of October. But just days after Apollo's release, he was taken back into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service for allegedly breaking a technical condition of his release. It is unclear what terms of Apollo's release were said to have been violated.
As of earlier this week, he is listed as an inmate at the FDC of Philadelphia, according to online records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. His release date is listed as October 15, 2019.
