You Need to See the Sweet Way Andy Cohen Transformed His Apartment for Ben's 5th Birthday
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host had a special way to celebrate his son's big day.
In February 2019, Andy Cohen had the most epic baby shower in Bravo history just days before his son, Ben, was born. Now, five years later, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host is still taking a perfectly over-the-top approach to celebrating Ben's special moments.

One day before Ben turned 5, Andy documented how he decorated their apartment for the big day. The February 3 Instagram Story photo showed several colorful balloons, including a large silver "5," all over the family's Manhattan abode.
The next day, on the February 4 episode of WWHL, Andy told Clubhouse guests Ashley Darby and Dr. Alicia Egolum, "It's my son's fifth birthday today." He went on to wish Ben a happy birthday before jokingly telling him through the screen, "Go to sleep," and then clarifying with a laugh, "He's not watching."

Later in the episode, Andy gushed over Ben. "Five years ago today, I became a dad," he said. "Despite the occasional tantrum that rivals me at a Jersey Housewives reunion, he couldn't make me happier."
In honor of the special day, Andy dedicated the "Watch What Happens 5" segment of the show to the best things Ben has taught him this year. Coming in at No. 5, Andy shared, "Breakfast food is a very loose concept. It turns out it's really just about putting something in your stomach."
In August 2023, Andy gave a hilarious look at his breakfast-related conversations with Ben when he discovered his then-4-year-old sneaking some morning potato chips. When Andy asked his son if he could make him a "real breakfast," Ben responded, "First, I eat this," and added, "I do it every day."
"You do it every day now?" Andy asked. "You hide and eat chips in the morning?" When Ben confirmed that was, in fact, the case, Andy said, "I don't blame you. I love chips too. But there are some foods for breakfast, and some foods for lunch, and some for dinner. And chips aren't a breakfast food." Well, based on the recent "Watch What Happens 5," that may still be up for debate!
No. 4 on Andy's list during the WWHL segment is learning that "Elsa is completely overrated. Ana is the star of Frozen. That's Ben Cohen."
Another learning: "Hot Wheels race tracks are nearly impossible to keep fastened," Andy said. "Don't get me started."
Andy's family, including his daughter, Lucy, tend to go all out for Halloween each year (remember those adorable matching astronaut costumes in 2021?). Since Ben was born, Andy has learned, "You don't need to limit your Halloween costume to only one. You can have many Halloween costumes"
Finally, the No. 1 thing Andy said he learned from Ben "this year and every year" is "you can find joy in just about anything."
Happy Birthday, Ben!
