Sutton Spills on Her Friendship with Jennifer Tilly as They're Spotted with Kathy Hilton
RHOBH Sutton Stracke shed more light on the amusing "salted caramel" incident involving Jennifer.
Sutton Stracke isn’t afraid to laugh at herself.
This was demonstrated in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 premiere when she invited Jennifer Tilly to have lunch at her West Hollywood boutique. The Georgia native reflected on the friendship in an episode interview and recalled the time she mistakenly put the actress’ salted caramel in her ear.
“Jennifer Tilly is one of my best friends for over 10 years,” she said. “We travel so well together. We love to go to fashion shows all over the world. I did put one of her salted caramels in my ear on an Air France flight. I thought it was the earplugs and they were stuck in my ears, and we couldn’t get it out. And then she said, ‘Was that the salted caramel I gave you?’ I said, ‘Yes it was.’ I don’t know, we’re so stupid together.”

Although the October 25 episode didn’t provide any more details on the confectionery mishap, Sutton shed more light on the incident during a recent interview with TheWrap.
“I was on the plane still. I’d just woken up and was all groggy,” the mother of three told the outlet. “I really did think that they were earplugs. It took about a week to get them out completely. And my hair had gotten stuck in one of them. Jennifer and I could not stop laughing.”
Sutton said she quickly noticed that the “earplug” had an unusual color and texture, and later asked Jennifer if she had the same experience.
“I said, ‘Were yours brown? And real sticky? I think mine were old,’” she continued. “And she goes, ‘No, mine are orange. Did you put the salted caramels in your ears?’
“‘Yeah, maybe I think it did!’” Sutton recalled telling Jennifer. “It’s probably why I’m not right in their [sic] head. Because I put caramels in my ears close to my brain. We couldn’t stop laughing for a week, it was so ridiculous.”
Sutton said she never sought medical treatment, but eventually removed the caramel after days of consistent “picking.”

Fans got a closer look at Sutton and Jennifer’s friendship in a 2022 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. At one point during the sit-down, the Chucky actress described herself as “very psychic” and said she can usually size people up as soon as she meets them.
“You do that with the people that I date,” Sutton said to Jennifer.
“Yes, I’m very protective of little Miss Sutton,” Jennifer explained, “because, you know, she gets all excited. She thinks Bumble is like a candy store. She’s like, ‘That one, that one, that one, that one.’ I’m like ‘Sutton, no…’”

The BFFs are clearly still on good terms, as they reunited this week with another Bravolebrity. On Friday, October 27, Sutton shared an Instagram photo of her and Jennifer's lunch date with Kathy Hilton, who appeared on RHOBH seasons 11 and 12.
"Love these girls! [hashtag] neighbors," she captioned the post, which showed them enjoying some drinks and a vegetable spread at Hotel Bel-Air.
Jennifer also documented the get-together on her Instagram, writing: "Toasting Sutton's new season," followed by the RHOBH hashtag.
