Katie Maloney and Lukas Gage Weigh In on Those Dating Rumors
The Euphoria actor revealed that he and the Vanderpump Rules cast member have “a genuine bond.”
Fans of Vanderpump Rules and actor Lukas Gage alike will be excited to hear that both he and Katie Maloney are addressing the dating rumors sparked by their recent hangout.
Katie’s acknowledgment of the topic came as she hosted an “Ask Me a Question” session on Instagram on Friday, February 10. Responding to a straightforward submission that read, “Are you dating Lukas Gage,” Katie simply wrote, “Lol,” and tagged Lukas’ Instagram.
Later, another user asked if Katie had a “boyfriend,” to which she responded, “No.”
Lukas, for his part, directly addressed his hangout with Katie in a Bustle interview published on Monday, February 13. As he explained, “She was at the Edition Hotel, and my friends and I got a room there, and [I] was like, ‘Come up.’”
The Bustle story went on to detail his “long standing” interest in the “Vanderpump Rules universe,” which apparently led him to host a birthday party for his writing partner at Tom Tom last March. According to Lukas, the celebration’s guest list went from “Batman [Robert Pattinson] to Olivia Rodrigo to the cast of every Bravo show.”
“While his friendship with Maloney was born out of Gage’s love of Bravo,” the story continued, “the two have established a genuine bond, and spent that night at the Edition talking about life until 5 in the morning.”
Later, as Vanderpump Rules fans may recall, Katie shared via her Instagram Stories a photo of herself and Lukas lying in bed together on January 1, captioned “Bb.” Lukas then shared the photo himself, adding, “us only in 2023.”
It didn’t take long for fans to start speculating that the two were together — especially since Katie’s next Instagram Story was a selfie captioned, “The bounce back of a lifetime,” thus leading some to believe she was referencing her split from Tom Schwartz.
The former couple’s divorce was finalized in October, and Katie has since started dating again. She was first linked to actor Satchel Clendenin, but she confirmed in December that they weren’t seeing each other and had only ever been involved in “a casual thing.”
