Lindsay Hubbard Shares Her Self-Quarantine Must-Haves, from Wine to Workouts
"Obviously, you have to have a frozen pizza in there," said the Summer House cast member.
With a spacious yard, a pool, and a plentiful stock of Loverboy, the Summer House home in the Hamptons would definitely be the ideal place to stay for self-quarantine. Unfortunately, that’s not where the cast actually is at the moment. Lindsay Hubbard is currently isolating in New York City, and chatted with BravoTV.com to spill all the details of what she’s been up to as she stays home to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Although Lindsay is “pretty positive” that she contracted the virus, she’s feeling much better than she was when she initially began experiencing the symptoms. “You know how they say if you think you have it, you probably do, just stay at home and self-quarantine, because unless it’s a severe emergency, we can’t really go to the hospital?” she said. “People have it much worse. I am lucky enough to not have gone through really bad crazy symptoms. Like, I never got a fever.”
Now, she’s sharing her advice on how to stay healthy and active at home. “If I don’t maintain a semblance of a healthy diet, then it can go real downhill, real quick,” she explained. “For me, I have three months before the summer, and I’m very hopeful that we will start filming again, so I’m trying to keep it together.”
For Lindsay, that means exercising daily.
“I try to work out for at least 30 minutes a day,” she said. “Last night, I actually went on a walk to Times Square, and then I ran back. For me, being active is really, really important. It’s the only thing that will keep me sane because if we’re stuck inside and we’re stuck in a small New York apartment, then it really is necessary to really just sweat out any energy. I try to work out every day as much as possible.”
While at home, Lindsay has even discussed her wellness habits with another Bravoleb: Austen Kroll from Southern Charm.
“I was actually talking to Austen from Southern Charm yesterday and we were joking on the phone,” said Lindsay. “It’s either going to go one of two ways: people are either going to gain the freshman 15, or you’re going to treat this as if you went to jail and you have nothing else to do besides work out. People are going to get really toned and in shape.”
But that doesn’t mean she’s not leaving room for treats like pizza and wine. When rounding up her quarantine kitchen must-haves, Lindsay said, “Obviously, you have to have a frozen pizza in there. Bananas. Eggs, you definitely need some eggs. Alcohol is a must. You need wine! Wine is really important these days. I don’t even know how to explain it. I never used to drink a bottle in one go, but…”
She’s also doing her best to support local businesses with her eating habits, and has made a point to order delivery from nearby restaurants who may be struggling due to the pandemic.
