We Are All Southern Charm’s Chelsea Meissner When She Seeks Fashion Advice ... From Her Dog
We’d let this pittie be our stylist any day.
There are lots of moments on Southern Charm that are super relatable — getting mailbox money à la Shep, having a bridge named after our family à la Thomas, using our artistic talent to sew a line of decorative throw pillows à la Craig … well okay, maybe not those, but we did find something truly relatable in how fellow dog lover Chelsea Meissner chats with her furry BFF Tyson. Finally, we too are just like the Charmers!
As we watched Chelsea try to decide between two different outfits to wear to Cameran’s baby shower, she asked her stylist to weigh in — her stylist being none other than her rescue pitbull Tyson. Like a true pal and student of the fashion world, Tyson looks up from his spot lounging on the bed to thoroughly side-eye each of the choices. Did he telepathically guide Chels to make the right choice of a patterned dress to match the party’s colorful 1960s theme? If she chose wrong, would he have barked to voice his dissent? We will never know for sure, but hey, let’s assume yes. Sure. Dog stylist.
It would be easy to see why Chelsea would trust her faithful pooch as a go to for advice of any kind, the two are inseparable and have been best buds for eight years. Chelsea and her rescue pup have been adventuring together from the start; they skateboard together, go on bike rides together and explore the beach together, where one of them ends up with a sandy nose. One of the reasons the two may be so perfectly matched is because Tyson, whose birthday is in the beginning of December, is a Sagittarius, a sign with dogs known for a love of the outdoors and love of exploration. Luckily only once did Chelsea’s wanderlust take her from her pooch’s side, when she was a contestant on Survivor. Although she did say that while she was gone Tyson was what she missed the most (that and Southern Food, obviously).
We love the bond between Chelsea and Tyson, although maybe we wouldn’t also trust him to be our stylist? He does wear white (fur) after Labor Day after all.
