Leva Bonaparte Reveals She Got Plastic Surgery
The Southern Charm mom and Southern Hospitality boss explained her "new tweaked" body.
After receiving an influx of questions about her appearance on social media, Southern Charm and Southern Hospitality's Leva Bonaparte decided to open up on Instagram in February 2021 about some changes she'd opted to make to her body.
Read on to understand more about how and why Leva came to her decision to have plastic surgery.
How did Leva Bonaparte lose weight?
In a personal post from February 19, 2021, Leva shared a stunning selfie along with the backstory behind her recent weight loss. After explaining her history with weight gain over the years — which included gaining 70 pounds during her difficult pregnancy with son Lamar Jr. — Leva shared that "my weight after COVID was at its highest ever in my life."
The Charleston mom revealed that through lifestyle changes and exercise — like doing cardio for 40 minutes, five days a week and cutting all carbs from her diet — she lost a "good bit" of weight, but she still had some "stubborn areas" she couldn't lose. So, she decided to see board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Clayton Crantford, to try and decide whether have surgery to regain her pre-baby, pre-COVID-19 figure.
Working out, however, remains a serious part of Leva’s life. On her Instagram account, she has a highlight dedicated her fitness regimen, where you can find videos of her doing planks, lunges, and lifting weights.
Leva Bonaparte’s Plastic Surgery
While Leva didn't specify exactly what kind of plastic surgery she got done, she seemed pleased with her results. "He exceeded my expectations! My new tweaked Dr. Clayton Crantford bod looks more natural than I expected and I’m over the moon!" she wrote.
"So mommas, do the work then do what makes you happy BUT only with the right doctor," she added. "Just keeping it real for you."
And although she might have had plastic surgery to lose weight, Leva defended herself against body shamers in November 2020 who had told her that she looked “chubby on TV.” “When you become a mom…you appreciate the body that gave you the beautiful life, no matter how it looks," she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. "And maybe I love how I look? Maybe I want to gain more?"
"Accept your body, mommas, for all its seasons present, past and future," she added. "And let’s not forget to be mindful of people's health issues and also their own preference of what body weight makes them happy!"
Leva has had no problem in embracing her body. Both before and after her surgery, the Southern Hospitality boss has posted a variety of photos of her to her Instagram account wearing bikinis and pulling off some other pretty fierce looks.
Like Leva said — keep it real and do what makes you happy.
