Craig Conover Reveals the Reason He and Paige DeSorbo "Would Probably Break Up"
The Southern Charm-er gave a surprising update on his long-distance relationship with the Summer House cast member.
Craig Conover just made a bold statement about his future with Paige DeSorbo.
In September, Craig shut down the misconception that he and Paige struggle with their long-distance relationship, explaining on an episode of Chicks in the Office that as they go "up and back [between] two great cities, New York and Charleston," they are "just happy."
Viewers have seen the two often discuss where they will eventually settle down together, and although Craig has previously been open to the idea of temporarily moving to New York City, that no longer seems to be the case.
Craig Conover reveals why he and Paige DeSorbo "would probably break up"
On Season 9, Episode 13 of Southern Charm, Craig and Madison LeCroy were talking about his relationship with Paige.
"Paige and I see each other every four days," Craig told Madison as they enjoyed a boat ride in Jamaica. "This time, we just happen to be down here."
"I used to say I'll come to New York for a couple of years, but Sewing Down South is kind of blowing up," he continued. "It's getting so big that I can't work remotely anymore. The company is tied to Charleston. This is where our warehouse is. It's where our store is. It's where our design studio is."
Madison asked, "So if Paige does not want to move to Charleston, what are you gonna do?" — and Craig shocked her with his response: "I mean, if she wasn't able to move to Charleston one day, we would probably break up."
As Madison gasped, Craig clarified, "I would fight for it, man. I would do whatever it takes to try to figure that out."
Why Paige DeSorbo doesn't want Craig Conover to move to NYC
Ultimately, as Paige has previously explained, she doesn't want Craig to relocate to the Big Apple. “I know Craig so well, and he — long term — wouldn’t be happy in New York and I wouldn’t want to put that on him,” she shared on Part 2 of the Summer House Season 7 reunion. “And when I think about having a family… I do think about living in the suburbs.”
Paige DeSorbo opens up about potentially moving to Charleston
On Season 9, Episode 10 of Southern Charm, Paige explained that not having a social circle in Charleston yet is part of the reason she is hesitant to relocate. "If I move down here, I'd want to be like — get in my own car and be like, 'OK, I'm gonna go hang out with my girlfriends,'" Paige said, to which Craig responded, "I would love that."
