Reza Completes His At-Home Workouts With the Most Unlikely Piece of Equipment
The Shahs of Sunset cast member shows how he stays in shape during self-isolation.
When staying at home in self-isolation to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), working out is a great way to blow off some steam and stay healthy. However, without a full gym or the resources you may usually have access to when you’re able to leave the house, it pays to get creative. Reza Farahan is doing exactly that. The Shahs of Sunset cast member is working on his fitness with a super unlikely piece of equipment: a giant tree branch.
In a video for BravoTV.com, which you can watch above, Reza explained how he stays active in his own backyard. “I’m doing my workouts at home. If you happen to have a branch of a large crepe myrtle that was cut down laying around your backyard, I would use it,” he quipped. “I love doing squats with this branch. I drop it like it’s hot, and then I pick it right back up.”
The enormous branch is surprisingly versatile. Reza proved how much he can do with the handy prop by demonstrating the bicep curls, overhead presses, lunges, and “one arm stuff” he does with it.
As for putting together a great exercise outfit, it seems to be as simple as wearing the pieces that bring the most joy. “I’m wearing my Reza Be Obsessed t-shirt because it makes me happy,” he explained.
Finally, Reza shared a message to the brave essential workers who are risking their lives throughout the pandemic. “I want to give a big shout out to all the health workers that are on the frontline, fighting this virus, trying to make our friends and loved ones happy and healthy,” Reza said. “So do the right thing, and stay home with Bravo.”
