MJ Responds to GG's Shady Comment About Her Fashion
Mercedes Javid responded to Golnesa Gharachedaghi's criticism of her style choices.
Mercedes "MJ" Javid's wardrobe has made quite the impression on her Shahs of Sunset friends. In Season 9, Nema Vand immortalized MJ's love for silky tracksuits with a memorable Halloween costume that was featured on the June 20 episode (see the clip above). And on the July 11 episode, Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi had some choice words about MJ's style.
While discussing what to wear to the Friendsgiving dinner, GG's sister Leila said: "I think Merce is dressing up." GG responded: "I wouldn't call what [MJ] does 'dress up.' I'm not being mean. I'm just saying: the way people dress in music videos, is for music videos. People don't realize that."
In her interview, the WüSah founder elaborated on that. "Now that MJ and I are trying to work on things, it's really awesome because I can coexist with her. I can laugh with her. I can be OK. But I mean, the outfits that [MJ] wears from time to time are very much like WTF."
When MJ appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen following the July 11 episode, she had a chance to respond to GG's comments. During a game, Andy said to MJ: "Since Golnesa's not a fan of your style, rate hers on a scale from one to 10."
Wearing a printed shirt dress and chunky pearl earrings, MJ responded: "I mean, I don't know why she isn't a fan of my style. And if she [isn't], she should say something to me. Maybe come over and say: 'Let's put some of your outfits together.' For her [style], I'll give her a nine, or a 10."
