Christian Siriano Opens Up About Dressing Jill Biden
The Project Runway mentor is feeling "very proud" after spotting his frock on the soon-to-be First Lady.
Christian Siriano is no stranger to the pressures of dressing some of the most recognizable men and women in the world. The Bravo's Project Runway mentor and So Siriano host has designed lavish gowns and red carpet ensembles for the likes of Billy Porter, Lizzo, and Angelina Jolie. And now, the American fashion designer can add one more name to that impressive list — Dr. Jill Biden.
Christian recently took to Instagram to share his thoughts on dressing the soon-to-be First Lady alongside a photo of her show-stopping, lavender frock for the DNC. "Very proud that this will be our 2nd First Lady dressed in Siriano at the DNC," he explained in his caption. Of course, the first First Lady that sported his designs first was the ever-stylish Michelle Obama.
"Honored to create for #jillbiden and as a young designer under 35 its pretty fabulous!" he continued. In the shot, Jill wore a lilac, cap-sleeved, form-fitting dress with subtle draped details. The classic, mid-length look was paired with nude suede stilettos and, of course, a face mask.
Something tells us this won't be the last time we see Christian's work in the White House.
