Christian Siriano Launches a PRIDE-Themed Collaboration for a Great Cause
The Project Runway mentor teamed with BURST Oral Care to support the LGBTQ+ communities.
During the pandemic, expert fashion designer Christian Siriano helped healthcare workers by creating chic face masks. Now, the Project Runway mentor is using those skills again to mix style with healthcare by partnering with BURST Oral Care to launch a custom-designed floss kit and rainbow face mask while raising money for a good cause.
The refillable floss set and matching rainbow mask, available to purchase from BURST for $19.99 each, show a unique pattern of dots using the PRIDE rainbow colors. If purchased as a bundle, the duo arrives in a matching rainbow-clad box. The BURST x Christian Siriano collaboration will be donating $25,000 of proceeds to The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth.
Christian made it clear why teaming up with BURST during this month was critical by stating in a press release: "Partnering with the BURST team has been an incredible experience. To work with a brand that understands and champions the adversities that the LGBTQ+ community faces is important to me and the work I put out into the world. Raising awareness around the injustices my community faces when it comes to basic human rights, such as access to affordable healthcare, is crucial and I'm excited to shine a light on these issues during PRIDE."
He said it best in his Instagram caption from June 2nd, "Healthy, happy mouths, but make it fashion."
This isn't the first time Christian's incredible designs have made an impact during PRIDE month. This rang true especially in past years where he gained recognition for creating unforgettable looks for celebrities in the LGBTQ+ community such as Billie Porter. The sketches he created during last year's PRIDE month were so beautiful and reminiscent of something out of a Parisian art gallery that he made them available to purchase.
