Sebastian Grey Felt "So Much Joy" Backstage at the Final Runway Show
We caught up with Jhoan "Sebastian" Grey backstage at the Project Runway Season 17 final runway show. *Spoilers ahead!*
Warning: For those who have not watched Bravo's Project Runway Season 17 finale yet, there are some major spoilers ahead. So, if you haven't had a chance to experience the final runway show, we highly suggest you check it out here before reading any further. We wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!
Congratulations are in order for Jhoan "Sebastian" Grey, who is the Project Runway Season 17 winner! Throughout the competition, the Colombian-born designer consistently impressed the judges with his innovative designs, and his final collection of the season conquered the runway showdown between Sebastian and fellow finalists Hester Sunshine and Gary "Garo Sparo" Spampinato.
But even before Sebastian received the top honor in Thursday night's finale episode, the budding designer already had a winning attitude.
Backstage at the finale, Sebastian told The Lookbook, "I feel amazing. I can’t believe I’m presenting my first collection here in the United States in this amazing place with these amazing designers. I feel so much joy right now. We finally did it and now we get to figure it out what’s going to happen."
The fashion maven also brought along a familiar piece of clothing to the finale: his favorite yellow jacket. "This is my lucky color. I’ve been wearing it through the entire show. I started the show with this and now I’m going to finish the show with this," he shared.
We're sure this jacket means even more to him now.
