In fashion, you're either in or you’re out. But what you’re dressed in while celebrating being out is just as essential. On June 30, Pose star Billy Porter hit the streets of New York City to celebrate in the WorldPride parade donning a custom creation by none other than Bravo’s Project Runway’s own Christian Siriano. And let’s just say — it was iconic.
Christian and Billy have teamed up before on glamorous looks that shut down the red carpet. Who could forget their gender-bending collaboration on what will no doubt be considered one of the most epic Oscars gowns of all time? And don’t get us started on Christian’s delightfully campy creations for the 2019 Met Gala. But this most recent, unapologetically fabulous frock has taken the internet by storm. The rainbow-hued, tulle dress featured a high, ruffle neck and a diagonal sash that read “Grand Marshal 2019: The Cast of Pose” at the waist with playful rainbow ribbon detailing. Billy accentuated the sweeping train with peep-toe pumps and, in this Instagram pic, a cocktail!
“The category is PRIDE with @thebillyporter. Wishing everyone in New York a magical day of love,” wrote the designer. Make room in the history books, because this look is one to remember.
