Khloe Kardashian Thinks "It's Really Courageous" Lamar Odom Is "Sharing His Truth"
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom don't have any public bad blood after he told all in his memoir.
Lamar Odom let loose in his memoir, Darkness to Light, telling all about the depths of his drug problem, the large number of women he slept with while he was married to Khloe Kardashian, and his desire to get back in the family's good graces. He's made many media appearances to promote the book, in which he went even further by venturing why ex-wife Khloe Kardashian's romance with Tristan Thompson didn't work out.
A trailer for Keeping up with the Kardashians reveals Khloe's reaction to Lamar's over-share, and it's surprisingly positive.
"How do you feel about all the press that he's doing?" sister Kim Kardashian asked.
“I’m fine. It’s his truth, he’s allowed to tell his version,” she replied. “Him and I each played a significant role in each others’ lives and I think it’s natural, like, if I talk about my past I would hope my marriage would be a chapter that I would talk about and for him, the same thing.”
“This was his story to tell," she added. "A lot of this stuff was never my place to talk about, but it’s definitely his place, it happened to him. So if he feels like talking about it and if this is a form of his healing or therapy then I actually think it's really courageous to talk about the amount of addiction that he’s had, like the depths of it. So it doesn’t bother me, I appreciate that it’s so honest. It’s not all great, but it's... I appreciate the honesty in it."
Khloe seemed to appreciate that Lamar clarified that he wasn't roped into reality television.
"But I like that he said how much he loved filming because all of that was true," she said. "Khloe & Lamar [the show] was not my doing; he pushed and pushed and pushed. He was like, 'I loved it!' I was like oh good, stay in your truth.”
Lamar has recently shared that a new interest in public motivational speaking is making him feel happy and hopeful.
"Doing reality TV and being married to Khloe, besides having children and besides me doing this motivational speaking that I'm going to start doing, that was the most memorable part and the best part of my adulthood," he told TMZ. "So, there's nothing I regret about that. And, hopefully, me going to public speaking can even bring me closer to the Kardashians and help me rebuild that bridge."
