Josh: Madison and His Client Need a Lesson in Negotiation
Josh Altman has some strong words for Madison.
OK this is one of my favorite houses of the season. This modern outpost new construction is the epitome of LA real estate. It’s totally tricked out and everything you would want in Sunny Southern California. The Altman Brothers pride themselves on being straight shooters. There are many agents out there that tell their clients what they want to hear as opposed to the truth. You have to be honest and upfront as this is a business. We priced this house exactly where it needed to be. We went up against other agents that told our client much higher. Max is an important future client as he is a big developer, and if we sell this, there are many more sales to come from it.
My open house, if I must say, was a great idea, and we had a blast. The reason I hired all those actors to do yoga, suntan, hang out in the master bed, etc, was to give the brokers an idea of what everyday life would be if they lived in this home so they can all call their clients immediately and set up showings. It was an expensive move, but that’s what you get when you hire us as we are the best and we provide the best service. In fact, the word got out so much from our open house that even agents from Malibu came to see it. My favorite part of this episode was when Madison, AKA Mr. Irrelevant, came back to the show. Since his business has really slowed down and you can only work out so much and take so many vacations, Madison decided to bring his slimy client. (By the way, that guy needs a lesson in negotiation, but unfortunately hanging out with Madison isn’t going to help unless he wants to learn to negotiate cheaper rooms on vacations). Word around town is that Madison is doing anything possible to be back in the limelight. I feel bad for him and hope he finds peace with himself and not just pretends on TV.
