Dr. Imani Walker's Stepdad Used to Be a Makeup Artist for a TV Legend
The Married to Medicine Los Angeles doctor shared a throwback snap of her beauty-savvy stepfather at his craft.
Dr. Imani Walker's mother was friends with Prince, and her stepfather was no stranger to celebrity encounters, either. In a recent Instagram share, the Married to Medicine Los Angeles doctor posted a throwback snap of her stepdad swirling blush onto her cheeks in his former office.
"I woke up this morning and instantly wanted to be back in 1993," the psychiatrist wrote. "This photo was taken at NBC, which is where my stepdad worked as a [makeup artist] and beat my face for prom." She added wistfully, "I miss times like this, especially when I have to do it myself now."
The photo took Imani's mother, Paula Madison, on a trip down memory lane. "[30 Rock!]," she wrote in the comments. "You’re in the [NBC News] makeup room! He worked on [Tom] Brokaw’s makeup for 12 years in that room." She added three red hearts, a thumbs-up emoji, and two proud hashtags spelling out my husband and my daughter.
