Dr. Imani Walker is flourishing in the field of psychiatry — but the medical pro had other options when she initially set out on her career path. At five-foot-nine with an undeniably striking look, she could have been a model... if only she'd enjoyed the training a little bit more.
In a recent Instagram Share, the Married to Medicine Los Angeles mom shared a throwback snap of herself striking a pose at just 13 years old. In the black-and-white, late-'80s pic, the statuesque beauty is wearing an oversize blazer with rolled-up cuffs, paired with a pencil skirt. (Perhaps it's no coincidence that Working Girl had been released just a year before.) Looking utterly workday chic, the younger Imani gazed at the camera with her signature steely gaze.
"Houston, TX, 1989," the doctor captioned the snap. "I was in H-Tine servin' it dine in modeling school, which I absolutely hated." The same can't be said of her blazer-skirt combo. "But get into this look, though!" Imani wrote.
