Jennifer Lopez Cut Off Her Hair to Complement Her Met Gala Dress: See Her New Bob

The 2018 Met Gala was truly one for the history books. Celebrities went all out to fulfill the theme for the evening: "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination." And we mean ALL out. Just how far, you may ask? Well, Jennifer Lopez even decided to cut her hair just moments before hitting the red carpet in order to take her look to the next level.

On Monday evening, the triple threat — who was just rocking 50-inch hair extensions last week — shocked us all when she debuted a chic bob haircut at the New York City fashion event. The new haircut, created by celebrity hairstylist Lorenzo Martin for Matrix, falls sharply above the singer’s shoulders — it's much shorter than J.Lo’s signature long layered ‘do. Its sleek and straight style also made for one bold in your face reveal.

Lopez made the last-minute haircut decision in order to help accentuate her custom Balmain gown for the evening. And it was literally a match made in heaven. Her new sleek bob perfectly complemented the gem-encrusted gown, which featured a cross design and chest cut-outs, as well as a dramatic feathered train. Her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez also matched the bronze goddess' fly with an all-black suit. 

It looks like J.Lo might've found her new look for the summer.
