Trolls Called Bethenny Frankel's Halloween Costume "Trashy," But She Shut That Right Down

Bethenny Frankel and the Kardashian/Jenner sisters all took some inspiration from the heavens — and from the Victoria's Secret runway — this Halloween. The Real Housewives of New York City pal and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians crew all got their tricks and treats while wearing soaring angel wings and delicate lingerie. And if that sounds like a celestial sight to behold, well, it was. 

But trolls will be trolls, and some social-media users just couldn't help but raise objections to Bethenny's look. As Us Weekly caught, the Skinnygirl founder's Instagram feed — which showed off her costume, of course — received a few rude comments. Before we delve into those, let's take another look at Bethenny's costume, just to be sure it was as gorgeous as we recall: 

Yep, gorgeous. Well, here's what some people had to say. "Little old for trashy costumes," one person wrote. Another said, "You have a great figure but Maybe something a bit more age appropriate?" And most hideously, one person invoked the recent passing of Bethenny's boyfriend Dennis Shields. "Considering your recent loss I am questioning why you would think this costume is in good taste????"  

Here's how the Skinnygirl herself responded: "For those haters, I suppose that monetizing reality TV is not the only good idea that the Kardashians and I have shared simultaneously. For those who bash theirs or my body, go hate somewhere else. We are mothers and daughters and I chose those very polarizing ruffle boy shorts thus opting to not show my vagina this Halloween. I’m in my late 40s. This is my God given body with no receipts attached (a breast lift 12 years ago notwithstanding) to it. Perhaps next year I will go pantyless & await more constructive comments."

And then, for the lovers not haters, she added: "To the rest of you, I had the best Halloween ever, trick or treating with my peanut then dancing w my ladies. XO."
