Love Sophie Stanbury's Voluminous Waves? Here's Exactly How to Copy Her Hairstyle
The Ladies of London alum is sharing all her hair secrets.
Sophie Stanbury is a total pro at the at-home blowout, and she's got the gorgeous waves to prove it. The Ladies of London alum was once a fan of hot rollers, but she's switched her allegiance to Velcro rollers. Yes, the affordable ones from the drugstore. Sophie posted a video tutorial on IGTV showing exactly how she blows out her hair from wet to dry and her easy strategy for mega volume.
Sophie shared all her hair tips, starting with the shampoo that she uses a maximum of three times a week. "I mix my shampoos up all the time," Sophie said on IGTV as she held up her current shampoo/conditioner duo: Wella Brilliance Shampoo and Kerastase's Resistance Mask. She also swears by a hair mask once a week, putting in Löwengrip's mask for four hours, then washing it out, going to bed with her hair damp, and washing and conditioning her hair in the morning.
Before Sophie dries her hair, she smooths a pump of Morrocanoil through the ends and then gets to it. "All you need are Velcro rollers, metal clips, a round roller hair brush (preferably metal) [and] a powerful hairdryer," Sophie wrote, demonstrating her method of rough drying her hair followed by dividing it into sections, blowing it out with a round brush, then piling it all into Velcro rollers. See her technique in action below:
Sophie blasts her curls with a bit of heat, and then it's a waiting game. You can get a bit of wave after 10 minutes or curls after an hour, she says, and this video demos what what it looks like after 10 minutes in the Velcro rollers. "Give it a really good shake," Sophie says, and then a "big spray" of Elnet. Voila! Super bouncy waves, and she makes it look so easy.
