Kim Zolciak-Biermann Was "So Excited to Go out to Dinner" for Her 42nd Birthday

Kim Zolciak-Biermann rang in 42 by sharing a sexy poolside snap, eating a delicious homemade cake, and enjoying a dinner out on the town with her husband, Kroy Biermann. 

"Last nights birthday dinner with my amazing hubby," the Don't Be Tardy mom captioned an Instagram photo of her and Kroy. "I was so excited to go out to dinner. . .T shirt and jeans made for a comfy night!"

It seems their daughter Kaia had a special meal at home as well. "(Notice on my leg the stain I tried to get off my jeans)," Kim added in the Instagram caption. "As I was leaving Kaia hugged me with a mouth full of chocolate."

While Kim didn't share anything about her celebratory dinner of choice, she got into great detail while discussing the cake her daughter Brielle and chef Tracey Bloom whipped up in her honor one day prior.  "German chocolate cake is my favorite cake," she said in an Instagram Story video as she sliced open the dessert to reveal its coconut-pecan frosting filling. "It always has been. However, Tracey's German chocolate cake is like no other." 

In an emotional Instagram post, Kim reflected on her birthday as well as all that she has to be grateful for. "Thank you ALL for the birthday wishes! I can’t believe today I’m 42!!" she wrote alongside a photo of herself posing in a bikini from her upcoming swimsuit brand, Salty K. "I’m so thankful to see another year, to spend this time with my incredible husband , 6 wonderful children, my amazing friends, and so many others that bless my life everyday."

Now, as Kim leaves behind some of the challenges she faced in the last year, she is ready to take on 42 with the exciting new venture. "This last year hasn’t been an easy one and I was so ready to see 2019 go, BUT I’m also incredibly thankful for 2019 as this is the year I decided it was time to chase another dream of mine," she continued. "SWIMWEAR."
