Winning! 9 Times Serena Williams Shut Down the Red Carpet

Yes! Serena Williams won Wimbledon on Saturday, making us all cheer for the woman who routinely smokes her opponents in bright-pink leopard spots. But Serena's strong sense of style doesn't end on the court. The athlete—who once wanted to design wedding dresses— has her own fashion label for HSN. She's also a front-row fixture at fashion shows, and a regular stunner at red-carpet events. In honor of the Wimbledon champ, here are her nine most (grand) slammin' looks, ever.

In 2015, Serena stepped out to the New York event in a shimmery, semi-sheer black dress from Gucci. She accented the look with pointy silver stilettos, drop earrings, and soft hair and makeup.

Serena's a regular on the Oscar-party scene. In 2011, she attended Elton John's glitzy event in a strapless gown accented with ruffles and feathers. She also wore dangling earrings and a dark mani—but we think the bangs were her best accessory.

At the 2009 kick-off bash, Serena showed off her love for leopard spots in a curve-clinging dress. She took the sexy look one step farther with stacks of gold bracelets and soft waves. 

In June, she hit the 'Serena' premiere in a glittering gown by Laquan Smith. Starburst earrings by H. Stern sparkled in her ears.

At the 2009 event, the tennis star wore a gorgeous teal gown by Roberto Cavalli. Her short hair was arranged in classic screen-siren waves.

At the 2011 Met Gala, which paid homage to designer Alexander McQueen, Serena wore an unforgettable look by Oscar de la Renta. She accessorized with stacks of diamond bracelets and a show-stopping fascinator.

In 2014, she wore a sexy cut-out dress by Michael Costello to the Hollywood fete. 

To celebrate her victory on July 10, Serena slipped on a floor-sweeping coral gown with a bejeweled bodice. In keeping with the summer's trends, she wore minimal makeup, opting to let her flawless complexion shine through.

As we now know, Serena effortlessly turns on the glam for the red carpet. But our favorite look of all time was the regal pink dress she wore for the 2015 event. The champ looked stunning in the beautifully embroidered gown.
