NeNe Leakes 'Scared and Excited' To Do Cinderella
The RHOA star makes her Broadway debut later this year.
It's almost show time! In less than two months, Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes will be making her Broadway debut in "Cinderella" as the wicked stepmother.
And with only weeks to prepare for the part, NeNe admits she's got some pre-show jitters.
"My life today! Studying hard! I hope you come see me in the amazing Broadway CINDERELLA! Scared & excited all @ the same time," she wrote, sharing photo of her script.
NeNe will kick off her run as the wicked stepmother Madame in Cinderella on November 25. She's taking over for former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd before the show has its final curtain call on January 3. KeKe Palmer currently stars as the musical's namesake.
"It's official! I am headed 2 BROADWAY CINDERELLA Nov 25th. Ain't God good 2 a little black girl from Athens Ga," NeNe previously tweeted about the casting news.
This is NeNe's latest stage gig. Over the summer she appeared in Las Vegas in Cirque du Soleil's production of Zumanity. In addition to Cinderella, NeNe also confirmed she'll be back for one episode of "Glee" as Coach Roz Washington. NeNe is slated to film her cameo in October. The final season of the Fox comedy will premiere in 2015.
