Is Nene Returning to 'Glee' for Its Final Season?
The series kicks off its last run of episodes next year.
Gleeks take note: NeNe Leakes is slated to return to Glee for one last time.
The Ryan Murphy-created Fox sitcom will kick off its final season in 2015 and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star will make one last appearance as Coach Roz Washington, according to TV Guide. She later confirmed the news on her website.
She will appear in one final episode, which will shoot in October.
NeNe is among the fan favorites who will stop by the series as it sings its swan song. Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jayma Mays and Max Adler will all also return, per the site. As previously reported, the show will take place solely in New York City during season six.
Of course NeNe never had any doubts that she'd be back to sassify the world of "Glee" for one last time. She shared with E! News back in April she'd "definitely" be returning. "I've been there for the last three, so I'll be right there for the last one," she said.
It marks another acting gig for the busy RHOA star, who has long been a Murphy favorite. (She previously starred on his short-lived sitcom The New Normal.)
Once she wraps up her time on the set, NeNe will kick off her run as the wicked stepmother Madame in Cinderella on November 25. She's taking over for former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd before the show has its final curtain call on January 3. KeKe Palmer currently stars as the musical's namesake.
