Kim Kardashian West Will Let North West Wear Makeup at the Same Age She Did

Kim Kardashian West may have come under fire for letting her 4-year-old daughter take fashion risks—even if the risk was a faux cotton corset. But in a recent video, the mother-of-two revealed that there are definitely rules in the Kardashian-West household when it comes to fashion and beauty.

To promote her latest KKW Beauty contour palette, Kim teamed up with beauty influencer Desi Perkins for a contour tutorial. For those who aren’t familiar with Desi's work, she has over 2 million YouTube subscribers and has launched several beauty collabs, including her latest Dose of Colors collection with beauty pal Katy DeGroot.

While makeup has become a huge part of the Kar-Jenner empire, Kim made it very clear in the video that we won’t be seeing North West rocking a lipstick or winged liner anytime soon. When Perkins asked Kim when she’d be comfortable with letting North wear makeup she replied, “Probably 12.” “That’s when I started to get into it, and then when I was, like, 14, my dad got me makeup lessons, and they video-taped it and showed us how to put on liner and lashes."

North may have a decade ahead of her before she’s able to play with her own beauty looks, but the she has already proven that she’s going to have some serious skills. Last fall, North gave her auntie, Khloe Kardashian, a makeover, which was shared on Snapchat. And the tot displayed some masterful techniques. She even finished Khloe’s look with a touch body makeup. Shoot, I’m still trying to master a cat eye liner, and North is already on to body makeup?!

With her mommy and aunties constantly getting glammed up, it's very easy to see why North would quickly gain a fascination with makeup. I mean, she even got her own customized Kylie Cosmetics collection as a Christmas gift last year.

I think it’s safe to say we have a future little beauty guru on our hands.
