But customization is big in the world of celebrity romance, too—just ask stars like Blake Lively, Olivia Wilde, and Eva Longoria. If you're looking for inspiration for your own sparkler (or are just a hopeless romantic) take a gander at these totally unique celebrity engagement rings.
If anything distracted from Kate Upton's glittering Topshop gown at the Met Gala, it was her enormous new accessory. The model proudly flashed the ring that fiancée Justin Verlander designed just for her. Working with jeweler Anita Ko, Justin had the solitaire diamond surrounded with swags of pavé diamonds, and set the stones in a band dotted with more—you guessed it—diamonds.
When he proposed to Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds presented the gorgeous star with a ring he designed with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. The 12-carat, oval diamond (that's it above, on the far right) is actually light pink; it's set in rose gold with pavé diamonds.
