You've no doubt already been through the seven stages of dealing with the news about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and are ready to accentuate the positives, like how good they looked together as they evolved from a forbidden couple to a large multinational family. Even if you're dusting off your old "Team Jen" tees right now, you've got to admit that Brangelina was a stylish unit:

2004

In Southern Italy to shoot Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the film where the future Mr. & Mrs. Pitt fell in love IRL on set, Brad and Angelina foreshadowed that their styles were well suited.

2005

Though they wouldn't publicly confirm their relationship until she announced her first pregnancy in 2006, now we can see that there might have been a message in the matching leather at the blockbuster movie's premiere (hers is Versace).

Otherwise, they played it cool for the rest of the year. Nothing to see here.

2006

A cohesive casual family style started to emerge in 2006, with jeans, khakis and aviators leading the charge, a living Banana Republic or J. Crew catalog in full effect.

And this was also the year that their red carpet smolders were perfected, and it looked like they were being styled together now. Here, she's wearing exquisite Reem Acra in a glamorous appearance following months spent traveling abroad doing humanitarian work.

A wondrous green dress by Max Azria Atelier helped Angelina properly show off twins Knox and Vivienne at the Kung Fu Panda premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. Brad actually looks incredible in all black everything, but who's looking at him here?

Brad's Seattle grunge phase flourished at the end of the Aughts, while Angelina embraced a looser side as well. And look how dapper their eldest child Maddox was at a young age!

2012

Asymmetric Atelier Versace for her and a basic black tux for him at the Golden Globes provided their peak visual achievement in many years of classic couture moments. She often favored black or white, but this pop of red remains impossibly chic.

2013

While Brad let it all hang out, Angelina hooked up with British designers Ralph & Russo to squeeze into the ultimate action hero's leading lady outfit for Brad's premiere of World War Z.

2014

And with a busy brood of six kids on the constant international go, she really was an action hero's bedrock and a pretty big rock star of a mom.

Angelina has always shown that she can do anything men can do, even dress like them and still upstage 'em.

2015

Angelina reprised a handsome look for the AFI Awards during Golden Globes weekend, while Brad went for a more Floridian feel. It doesn't seem like they consulted each other here.

He felt a little jauntier before the year was up, going a bit Benjamin Button on his wife and giving a glimpse of grandparenthood.
