Kate Chastain's "Barbie Chief Stew" Look Might Be the Most Glam We've Ever Seen Her
The Below Deck chief stew's show-stopping outfit involved a power ponytail, hot pink, and feathers.
Kate Chastain loves getting all dressed up when she stops by the Clubhouse for Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "Considering I usually have to wear a polyester polo and work 18 hour days on Below Deck having a glam moment is extra exciting, especially when you have the best artists in the business doing your makeup, hair, clothing and jewelry," she said last year.
Forget the polyester polo, because Kate and her team outdid themselves with her latest WWHL look. Yesterday, Kate donned a hot pink dress airbrushed with a beach scene and embellished with fluffy pink feathers, rocking that dress with a super high wavy ponytail and lots of jewelry.
"Tell me about this look tonight," Andy Cohen asked Kate on the show, who replied: "I just feel like it's Barbie Chief Stew," pointing out the palm trees on her dress.
"Barbie Chief Stew, I knew you would have a name for it," Andy joked. This is totally Kate's ultra-glam alter-ego.
If you're curious about the details behind this Barbie doll look, hairstylist Julius Michael explained that he used Hidden Crown hair extensions for Kate's bouncy power ponytail. Meanwhile, makeup artist Caroline Blanchard "used so many varieties of brands your heads will spin" on Kate's glittery, smoky pink eye (calling out Pat McGrath's Mothership palettes particularly).
