What Shocked Anderson Cooper the Most About His Mom Gloria Vanderbilt's Book?
The CNN host got all flustered when recalling the NSFW part to Andy Cohen and the rest of the WWHL audience.
When Anderson Cooper appeared in the Bravo Clubhouse Sunday night for Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he should have known that the evening might get a little embarrassing for him since Andy knows him so well. His ability to blush became apparent when a caller asked him if his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, planned on writing any more books. He said he didn't know, and Andy jumped in to help him on a trip down memory lane to It Seemed Important at the Time, Vanderbilt's romance memoir that was published in 2004, which Anderson proofread for his mother before it came out.
In the book, Gloria Vanderbilt revealed her romances with famous men such as Frank Sinatra, Howard Hughes, Errol Flynn, Orson Welles, and Marlon Brando — "but, like, hot Marlon Brando, not Apocalypse Now Marlon Brando," Anderson clarified.
"Say the line that was in there," Andy prompted.
"She was like 87 years old, and she was describing a man who she was currently dating at the time, and she described him as the 'Nijinsky of cunnilingus,'" Anderson answered, mortified, as he thought of his mother comparing her then-beau's oral sex skills with that of a famous Russian dancer. "And the sad thing is, I had to look up both words."
That's enough to make anyone blush, not just her son!
