Are Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Ariana Madix's Sandwich Shop Plans Still On?
Katie explained if her split from Tom Schwartz will impact her business endeavor with her Vanderpump Rules castmate.
As viewers saw on Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, while Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval worked on their new bar, their respective partners, Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Ariana Madix, decided to start their own business together. Now, following Katie and Schwartz's recent announcement that they have ended their marriage, Katie is sharing if her feelings have changed about running the sandwich shop with Ariana.
While giving updates on how she's doing during a March 20 "Ask Me Anything" session on Instagram, Katie responded to someone who asked if she is "still interested in opening [Something About Her] with Ariana." As Katie put it, she "1000 [percent]" still wants to continue working on the business with Ariana.
Ariana shared exciting updates on the sandwich shop during the February 11 episode of Scheana Shay's Dear Media podcast, Scheananigans with Scheana Shay. "We have all of our numbers, all of our projections, financials, everything," she said at the time. "And so we're ready to start pitching."
As for the location, the eatery "is definitely a valley endeavor," she explained. "We feel like, especially in the valley, there is more of a lack of this sort of thing that we want to do. Whereas WeHo definitely has more of what we're doing. So we definitely want to fill in that niche in the valley."
On the January 4 episode of Vanderpump Rules, Katie explained that the vibe of the sandwich shop would be "so European," and Ariana shared a bit more about their design on the podcast episode. "We want it to feel like an experience," she said. "Very Instagram-able, very pretty, and we have a lot of really exciting ideas for it."
