Ariana & Katie Give a Hilarious Look at Recipe Tasting for Something About Her (VIDEO)
Vanderpump Rules’ Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney offered a playful peek at one of their menu items, and we can’t stop laughing.
Fans are dying to know: When are Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney officially opening the doors to their sandwich shop, Something About Her?
During Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, the business partners explained that the spot would be open at the end of May. In a Los Angeles Times interview that was published on May 24, however, Katie noted that while they didn’t have a specific date yet, “it will be [open] as soon as possible.”
Later that month, Katie mentioned in an episode of the So Bad It’s Good with Ryan Bailey podcast that they were “gonna be open this summer,” but added that she was “hesitant” to give “a more specific time” and let people down.
In addition to sharing a funny TikTok video that somewhat answered the question about when they planned to open shop, Katie and Ariana recently gave fans more to be excited about: a peek at their scrumptious sandwich menu.
Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s Something About Her Taste Test
On July 10, in one of the most hilarious videos we’ve seen from their Something About Her TikTok account, Ariana stood at the shop’s counter with sandwich ingredients while Katie stood behind her, out of view, and swapped Ariana’s arms with her own.
“We love sandwiches here and we’re so excited to open soon,” Ariana begins the clip, before explaining that she will be preparing an egg salad sandwich. As she attempts to slice a tomato, it’s clear “her” hands (i.e., Katie’s hands) are getting a little too close to the knife for comfort and the fourth wall is hilariously broken: “Oh my god, Katie!” Ariana shrieks.
After putting a fairly thick slice of tomato on multigrain bread, Katie’s hands then place a “very healthy scoop” of egg salad on the bread and cut the sandwich in half, although she almost slices her own hand in the process since she can’t see what she’s doing.
The ladies were cracking up by the end of the bit, and luckily no fingers were harmed in the making of this video.

The above video isn’t the first time Katie and Ariana have given us a taste of what they’ve been cooking up at Something About Her.
In May 2022, Ariana shared with BravoTV.com at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation that she wanted to create “a sandwich that involves lots of hot peppers and anything salty, pickled.”
Then, last month, Katie took to her Instagram Stories to share a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most delicious breads we’ve ever seen for a bread tasting to help craft the “the best sandwiches.”
“We can’t just have sliced bread. What are you thinking?” Katie quipped over an Instagram Story of several types of breads she was trying out. “And, yeah, now I’m slipping into a carb coma, ’cause that is a real thing… I cannot wait for y’all to taste our sandwiches.”
Following that sneak peek, the ladies also shared via TikTok how they will have “gluten free options” available, and in another hilarious video, both Ariana and Katie tasted more breads and sandwich options.
