Did Monique Samuels' Prank on Her Husband Go Too Far?
The Real Housewives of Potomac 'Wife needed to teach her husband, Chris Samuels, a lesson, so she took matters into her own hands.
Monique Samuels found an inventive way to make sure her husband, Chris, had a family plan for when she went into labor.
The Real Housewives of Potomac mom acted like her water broke and forced him into emergency mode after he failed to make plans for their kids for when she would be in the hospital — he even went so far as to call 911.
“It was supposed to be light fun,” Monique joked. “He took it to another level… He called 911. Imagine I really had gone into labor and the kids would have been with us.”
Some people love a prank, some people absolutely hate them.
But etiquette expert Diane Gottsman told Personal Space, think before you make a prank that involves emergency services.
“Sometimes a lighthearted prank can take a turn,” she said. “A joke or prank generally does not involve emergency services. When a situation could potentially be serious or life-threatening, people tend to overreact and in this case he was excited and concerned for his wife. She was thankfully quick to react.
“A prank should be thought out, based on the situation and keeping in mind the other person's personality. The more serious the circumstances, the more impact it could potentially have. Joking about babies, heart attacks, and serious outcomes is always emotional. The person being pranked could get really angry or upset. I guess the moral of the story is, next time... think before you prank," she concluded.
This one did teach Chris a lesson, though. Monique says the next day he made a plan for the entire family.
