RHOC's Gina Kirschenheiter on the One Food She Tries to "Give Up for Lent — But It Never Works!"

The Real Housewives of Orange County newcomer just can't quit it.

By Alesandra Dubin

Orange County transplant Gina Kirschenheiter has some feelings about such Southern California diet mainstays as "goddamn kale." However, The Real Housewives of Orange County has some favorite things closer to her heart and her heritage — Long Island Iced Tea, for instance — that she just can't seem to quit.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Peacock and the Bravo App.

One such thing, Gina told The Feast when she sat down with us in Los Angeles, is cheese. When we asked her about the one thing she eats every single day without fail, she told us: "Eggs for sure — and I love cottage cheese. Actually I love any kind of cheese — and I try to give that up for Lent but it never works!"

On the flip side, Gina told us there's one thing she'd prefer to never eat — but with a caveat.

"I hate tomatoes," she told us, "except I love tomato sauce and I make sauce all the time. I mean I have it frozen in my freezer right now — but just actual raw tomatoes I do not eat I don’t like them at all!"

And in much the same way that Gina's taste for this particular vegetable depends a lot on the form it takes in food — she feels quite the same way about fruit and it's many forms, too!
