Heather: I'm so Grateful for All That We Have
Heather gives her take on Meghan and Shannon's feud and opens up about building her dream home with Terry.
It's so funny that every year I can't wait for summer...then the kids get out of school and it's more driving and schlepping than ever!!! I do love seeing my babies outside so much...playing with their friends and swimming in the ocean -- great summer memories!!!
Anyway, on to tonight's show! The drama continued in Napa at the Bellos' home...
I really didn't want to get in the middle of the Shannon and Meghan argument. It's a lot of she said/she said and as I learned last year, that never really ends well. I did want to make sure that Shannon was okay though, and I was glad I went to check on her in the bathroom.
After a brief cooling off period, I thought Shannon and Meghan were going to move past this argument when round 2 started! It wasn't seeming to come to end, so I magically "heard a cork pop" and redirected everyone for a last drink and out the door!
Phew!
All in all the weekend was really fantastic and I thank everyone that came to celebrate COLLETTE! The response has been overwhelming and I love seeing your photos tagged with @collettechamps! On to our house!
Okay, I know this is hard to believe, but this enormous house is Terry's dream, not mine. I'm so grateful for all that we have, and Terry works so hard that I'm happy to make his dreams come true...but it IS a lot of work!
I got a question last week on WWHL that I'd like to address about talking about money this season on the show. Building our home is a big part of my life this year and that's what you are seeing! You will notice I don't run to the other ladies and tell them what I'm spending on the house, it's not appropriate and it's not in my nature. However, I am speaking to my builder and my husband about the money, because that's what you do when you are building a house! Hope that explains things a bit...
Anyway, I loved watching Vicki and Tamra talking about grandchildren...so incredibly sweet! Of course, Terry and I had our children a little older -- so I will likely be 120 years old before I get that experience! HAHA.
Stopping by Meghan's house...
So while having lunch with Tamra and Katie, Tamra got a call from Meghan, inviting her to the JDRF charity event (Katie and I had already been invited.). Although Meghan felt she had valid reasons for not inviting Shannon, it just wasn't sitting well with me. The day of the party I was working in Los Angeles and decided to stop by Meghan's on my way home (Yes, I called first!).
Meghan is new in this group and young and I felt like I needed to have a talk with her about the situation. I just didn't want to look back and feel like I didn't at least try to talk to Meghan and have her see both sides before she made a decision that I thought might hurt her in the long run. As you can see it fell on deaf ears...at least I can say I tried!
No matter whose side you are on, the important thing is that the evening was a big success and Meghan did a fabulous job raising awareness and money for a great cause.
Next week RHOC meets BOTCHED! It's a lot of fun! And, sadly a tragic moment caught on film for Vicki...
