Tinsley Mortimer's friends who have been getting sick of hearing her talk about wanting a husband and babies might be having a bit of a break right now, because it looks like The Real Housewives of New York City cast member has found a cure for her baby fever.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

Tinsley's new adopted dogs Strawberry and Shortcake, who were rescued from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China (which Lisa Vanderpump has fought tirelessly against), are making her feel like a mom again after losing her dog Bambi, which viewers saw in Season 10.

Any prospective man in her life will have to be canine-friendly, she explained to Us Weekly.

“That, and also dogs are allowed to sleep in the bed. Which is definitely sometimes a deal breaker. But I’m sorry! Particularly right now, I just want them to feel comfortable. They are sleeping in my bed right now," she said.

Strawberry and Shortcake were saved from a grim end, so she is naturally overprotective of them already.

“They feel like my children. It felt almost like I was giving birth,” she told the publication. “For me it was really emotional. I was crying. It is fulfilling a lot for me, so we’ll see.”

Her mom isn't even giving her grief over having "real babies" now, she said. “The whole family was like these are our babies, these are our children.”

Tinsley isn't the only one who considers herself a parent to furry babies she did not birth herself. After all, giving birth does not automatically a good mother make … and the dictionary definition is that a parent is “a person who brings up and cares for another” and that’s 100 percent what Tinsley is doing with her little ones, too.
