Teresa & Louie Set the Record Straight on Those Fake Cartier Gift Accusations
The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple addressed the accusations that Louie Ruelas gifted Teresa Giudice’s daughters fake Cartier bracelets for Christmas.
In December 2022, Teresa Giudice’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, gifted her daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana $12,500 Cartier Juste un Clou bracelets for Christmas. Social media users, however, were quick to doubt their validity following Gia’s since-deleted unboxing of the gift on TikTok.
Teresa’s lawyer, James Leonard, first responded to the naysayers shortly after the accusations were made, telling Page Six that The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member’s daughters were “very happy” with their bracelets.
“I think in the spirit of what Christmas is really all about, people’s focus should be elsewhere and not on something silly like this,” Leonard said at the time. “That being said, the girls are very happy with their bracelets and grateful to have received them.”
Nearly two months later, Teresa and Louie officially responded to the allegations during a February 14 appearance in the Clubhouse with Andy Cohen. During the episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Andy read a fan’s question about the bracelets being “fake,” prompting the couple to answer to the authenticity of the jewelry.
“Yeah… absolutely not,” Teresa immediately responded, turning to her beau, who also shut down the idea. “Do you think Louie would buy fake bracelets?”
“I mean… I don’t know,” Andy replied, to which Teresa quickly cleared up any confusion: “No!”
Neither Teresa nor Louie seem to be bothered by what people have to say about the details of their relationship, instead putting their focus on family.
After sharing an incredible Christmas Eve together, the pair brought their families together for a dreamy trip to Tulum, Mexico, not only to ring in the New Year with a fabulous vacation but also to celebrate Gia’s 22nd birthday.
Taking to Instagram after the family affair, Louie shared a series of photos with a heartfelt caption: “Tulum was an amazing place to connect on all levels as a family,” he wrote. “Kids LEAN into your super power this year and stand in your truth, allow this year to be the one of exponential growth. Awareness of where you are and where you want to be is a gift[,] use that to keep moving forward and never stop reaching for the stars.”
Teresa and Gia also shared several of the same family snaps, with Gia captioning her roundup, “When’s the next family vaca?”
Louie was quick to give an answer: “St Barts.”
