We Finally Know What Melissa Gorga Thought of Teresa Giudice’s Wedding Hairstyle
Though Melissa did not attend her sister-in-law’s wedding, she did share her thoughts on Teresa’s famous “over-the-top” wedding hairstyle.
While there have been many memorable Bravoleb hairstyles over the years, few were as buzzed-about as Teresa Giudice’s towering wedding day ’do. In August 2022, The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member’s hairstylist Lucia Casazza shared in an interview with Andy Cohen for his Sirius XM radio show that Teresa wanted her hair to be “over-the-top,” and she delivered by creating a style that used more than 1,500 bobby pins and cost nearly $10,000 to complete.
The voluminous look quickly became cemented in Bravo history, with Kelly Ripa re-creating it for Halloween on Live with Kelly and Ryan, and Teresa’s wedding tiara and dress earning a spot in the BravoLand museum at BravoCon 2022.
Many of Teresa’s castmates shared their thoughts on her hair following the wedding. “It was f--king Teresa, OK?” Dolores Catania told Us Weekly a few weeks after Teresa and Luis “Louie” Ruelas walked down the aisle. “She could pull it off.” Two months later, Margaret Josephs weighed in during an October 2022 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I was crying because she did look great, but I said to [my husband] Joe [Benigno], ‘Holy crap, how is she holding her head up?’” she explained. “You know, it was very large and she has very strong neck muscles. I don’t know what else to really say.”
More recently, Melissa Gorga was asked for her “honest opinion” of Teresa’s bridal style during the February 21 WWHL After Show. “It was very Teresa, right? It was over-the-top,” said Melissa, who was not in attendance at the wedding. “Would I ever wear my hair like that? No. Was it something I would do? No. But I think it was very Teresa. I think she looked beautiful.”
“I think that’s exactly how she wanted to look,” Melissa continued. When her comment drew laughs from the audience, she quickly clarified it wasn’t intended to be shady. “No! I don’t think she thinks it was overstated,” she said.
